1Q: What Would My 8-Year-Old Self Cheer Me On For Today?
She’s not mad you didn’t become a ballerina. She’s just happy you made it this far.
This week’s question is tender, a little playful, and surprisingly powerful:
What would your 8-year-old self cheer you on for today?
Not what she’d judge. Not what she’d criticize.
But what would make her smile and say, “You did that? We get to live like this now?”
In this episode of One Question, I share a few of my childhood dreams (spoiler: they involve babies and play money), and reflect on how resilience, chaos, and healing shaped who I became. I also talk about what the science of childhood values and imagination reveals about who we’re still becoming.
It’s a short episode (5Min 41S), but a potent one—with journaling prompts and a big dose of heart. Click on the image below to listen:
As always, I’d love to hear what your younger self might be proud of.
